A SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL WHO MADE THIS PRODUCTION POSSIBLE!
Volunteer (everyone should have provided Debbie our administrator with a post dated cheque that will be cashed only if you have not completed your volunteer bond hours by end of season:)
Welcome back all our past skaters and a warm hello to newcomers. The Ice Show is a commitment on the part of the skater and the parents. Here are a few points that you need to know about the Ice Show:
The Ice show is a very worthwhile, rewarding experience for both the skater and the parents. Volunteers make the Ice Show possible. Signup to volunteer for ice show
We ask that you volunteer for at least one job, but please keep in mind that you may not necessarily be able to do that job. It will depend on how many volunteers we have for that particular position. Please keep in mind that your volunteer time for the Ice Show will go towards your volunteer bond that you put up at the start of the year.
The skaters will be turned over to the extremely dedicated and responsible backstage volunteers and coaches during the dress rehearsal on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The skaters will stay in the dressing rooms under supervision, or in the stands with supervision for the entire show. The parents cannot claim their children until after the show at the designated pick up spot. (Except the Pre-school skaters details to follow.)
Parents and relatives will be required to purchase a ticket to see the show unless they are volunteering at that show. Volunteering does not free a parent up for watching the show but means you will be working the show. You may want to volunteer for one show and purchase a ticket for another.
The costumes are designed and co-ordinated by a costume coordinator. More information will follow later in September.
At The Langley Skating Club we focus on providing high quality skating programs with instruction from dedicated Skate Canada certified coaches. We encourage skaters to develop to the best of their ability and achieve their goals, in a supportive club setting while fostering a passion for the sport of skating. We believe that empowering skaters with confidence, skill, and a strong work ethic promotes personal success.
